Tactics: A Game Plan for Discussing Your Christian Convictions (Grand Rapids: Zondervan, 2009)

We like to try and persuade others of many things. We argue endlessly, but amiably, about why our football team is best, why certain social programs are just (or not), why you shouldn’t buy that brand of truck or washing machine.

We balk, however, at trying to persuade others to follow Jesus, as though arguing for the Christian faith is arm-twisting but arguing for detergent is not.

Greg Koukl gives a great explanation of legitimate Christian argumentation, with practical methods for incorporating persuasion into everyday conversation.
